The African Alliance for Peace (AAP) is one of the largest peace initiatives on the continent. Growing out of the Global Alliance for Ministries and Infrastructures of Peace (GAMIP), it includes members from Rwanda, Senegal, Uganda, and South Africa, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Cameroon, and continues to grow.

Its vision is to support the creation of a culture of peace and nonviolence in all African countries, including calling for structures in government and civil society to support a culture of peace. The third AAP Summit is for all peacebuilders in Africa and friends of peace globally. During the Summit we hope to enhance our understanding of peace education, develop new skills and approaches to educating our communities for peace and develop meaningful networks for peace in Africa.
